About
I am an Assistant Scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI). Previously I was a postdoctoral associate at Maryland Robotics Center at University of Maryland (UMD) where I was working with Dr. Dinesh Manocha, Dr. Pratap Tokekar and Dr. Miao Yu.  I have received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina (UofSC), where I worked in the Autonomous Field Robotics Laboratory (AFRL) under the supervision of  Dr. Ioannis Rekleitis. Since 2022, I am serving as an Associate Editor (AE) for the RA-L and IROS Editorial Boards.
My research focuses on planning and exploration problems with heterogeneous multi-agent systems, with particular applications in the aquatic domain. I aim to develop more efficient, task-oriented exploration techniques for environmental monitoring and survey operations. I often draw inspiration from human expertise in performing specific tasks and strive to incorporate similar reasoning into the algorithms I develop for surface and underwater robots.
