I am currently a PhD student in Prehistorical Archaeology at Autonomous University of Barcelona and Côte d'Azur University in Nice. Before I obtained my bachelor’s degree in archaeology at Bordeaux Montaigne University and my master’s degree in archaeology at Cote d'Azur University (Nice). During my master's thesis I have been trained to archaeobotany (charcoal study).
My PhD project is about the nature and the function of plant-based artefacts recovered from prehistoric sites. The research main points are to document the manufacturing process from the acquisition area to the use of artefacts. I am studying artefacts from the Early Neolithic site of La Draga (Banyoles, Spain). I am using isotope and protein analysis to gather informations on the plant material with which the artefacts were created (provenance, taxonomical determination) and on the residues contained in these artefacts.
