GEGs connect passionate educators to discuss the benefits of technology to schools, classrooms, and communities across the world—both online and at locally run events offline. These groups provide a forum for educators to collaborate, share, and support each other.

In 2014, Google created Google Educators Group as a way to build a community of educators who learn, share, inspire and empower each other to meet the needs of their students through technology solutions, both in the classroom and beyond. Of the 275 GEGs worldwide, 31 are in the Philippines.
