What is a sports injury screening?
Athlete sustains an injury that requires an evaluation by a medical professional. Athlete may be referred by coach, school athletic trainer, or self-refer with parent (if under age of 18).
Same or next day appointments can be made by contacting the location of choice.
Athlete receives a Physical Therapy Evaluation and Assessment, along with recommendations for treatment.
The medical necessity for physical therapy is determined and if required, you may be referred to a physician such as a specialist for further diagnostic work-up and physical therapy prescription
If additional physical therapy treatment is necessary to assist in a rapid return to play, we require a prescription with a diagnosis from a physician – i.e your pediatrician, urgent care, family or orthopedic doctor.
If prescribed, aggressive physical therapy is provided to promote healing, restore function and allow a rapid return to play.
